Anna J. Martin Park: Anna J. Martin Park is a two-acre passive park including a picnic area and play equipment. Those looking for a calm setting will find beauty and tranquility at this neighborhood park. There is fun play equipment accessible for younger kids.
Gymnasium: With 20,000 square feet, the La Mirada Gymnasium can accommodate three volleyball and badminton courts in addition to one full-size, standard high school basketball court and two smaller courts. Open gym time is provided at different periods throughout the year, and adult and junior leagues are offered. Special courses and senior exercise take place in a multipurpose space. Splash: On November 10, 2007, Splash! opened. It has taught thousands of kids, adults, and seniors how to swim and be safe near water through its year-round swim class program in warm water. The 18-acre park has a year-round competitive area with a 50-meter heated instructional pool, a 25-yard heated pool, and a warm water spa. The Buccaneer Bay waterpark, which is open in the summer, is located in the family fun section. It has a lazy river, two stories of water slides, a play area and mini tot slides, splash zones, and lots of seats and cover.
Library: La Mirada Library La Mirada Library was established in 1915 in a one-room schoolhouse that belonged to the Norwalk School District. It soon received supplemental service from the Los Angeles County Library.
