History: Constructed in 1869, the Heritage House is recognized as a State Historic Landmark. This is Compton's oldest home, rebuilt as a memorial to the town's pioneers.
Landmarks: Since 1858, the Eagle Tree has served as Rancho San Pedro's natural border marker. The Daughters of the Golden West erected a historic monument and plaque there in 1947.
Memorial: Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. is honored by this monument located at the Civic Center. Compton Court House, Compton City Hall, Compton Public Library, and Civic Center around it.
