Description:
Bell Gardens is noteworthy for having the oldest structure in Los Angeles County and for being one of just six cities in the county (out of 88) to allow casino gaming.
Places to go:
Bell Gardens Veteran Park: The Bell Gardens Veterans Park is well located in the center of the city. Our park has peaceful green areas, picnic tables, and a trail for leisurely runs or walks.
Garden: A hidden gem in the neighborhood, the Bell Gardens Community Garden provides residents and gardeners with a natural haven. The patios and other recent improvements to the garden have improved the community's reputation, given the gardeners a sense of identity, and increased its appeal to outsiders. The Bell Gardens Community Garden embodies the actual meaning of its tagline, "Growing Together," as do its gardeners and the surrounding natural surroundings.
Library: Bell Garden Library The library moved to its current location, 7110 S. Garfield Avenue, on May 7th, 1970. On July 21, 2007 the library had a Grand Re-Opening ceremony to celebrate a 6-month major refurbishment project.
